Aflac Unveils Final Roster for 2007 Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic, to be held August 11

Columbus, Ga. – July 2, 2007 – Aflac today announced the full player roster for the fifth annual Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic, featuring the best high school baseball players in the country. The 2007 Aflac All-American Baseball Classic will be played at San Diego State’s Tony Gwynn Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 11, airing live on FSN at 3 p.m. ET. Proceeds from the 2007 event will benefit San Diego’s Rady Children’s Hospital. Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, a 15-time All Star and 13-time Gold Glove award winner, is this year’s honorary chairman. The University of Notre Dame's history of hosting premier sporting events will continue into next year as the McDonald's Corporation announced that the 2005 McDonald's All American High School Basketball Game will be played at the Edmund P. Joyce Center, home of the Fighting Irish. This is the first time in the history of the McDonald's All American Game that South Bend will host the event and the second time it has been played in the state of Indiana (Indianapolis, 1990). Naperville, Illinois native completes five dunk attempts to defeat top male competitors

MIDWEST CITY, OK (Washington Post) -- In the most recent example of the evolution of female athletes, a high school girl did more than just compete against five of the best boys' high school basketball players in the nation in a slam dunk contest on Monday night. She defeated them. Candace Parker, a 6-foot-3 17-year-old from Naperville, Ill., beat a field of competitors that included at least two who could be playing in the National Basketball Association next season. In a cardiac-inducing game that featured six ties, twelve lead changes, and a fantastic finish to a frenetic fourth quarter, the All-Americans won their tournament championship with a hard-earned, if at times inartistic, 39-34 victory over the Bulldogs. McDonald's All American Game Heads to Oklahoma City on March 31st

Sports America Scores National Attention for Fourth Annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl

ROCKVILLE, Md. - The fourth annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl reached milestones in both national television ratings and attendance, recording a 2.0/5 Nielsen rating and attracting a record 25, 813 fans to San Antonio's Alamodome. Broadcast on NBC on January 3, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl featured an electrifying half-time performance by Alicia Keys and nine college declarations by U.S. Army All-Americans.

Sports America was responsible for coordinating all sports publicity efforts during the event's National Selection Tour and Game Week. The National Selection Tour travels across the country to all 78 U.S. Army All-Americans' hometowns. In total, this year's tour involved 125,000 students attending the various events and pep rallies.
