Ronald McDonald House Charities

During Sports America’s 30-year association with the McDonald’s All American Basketball Games, we’ve helped raise more than $5 million for the local Ronald McDonald House Charities. We’ve very proud of this accomplishment and look forward to continuing this history of charitable giving. Since the AFLAC High School All American Baseball Classic’s inception, charitable giving has played a large part in the event. Funds raised from the game have gone to pediatric cancer research facilities located in the host city. This year, all game proceeds will benefit San Diego’s Children’s Hospital and Health Center. Since 2003, the game has generated nearly $355,000 in donations for charity. For more information on AFLAC’s charitable giving, you can visit their website at: http://www.aflacallamerican.com/AFLAC/.

For 2007, Coaches Curing Kids' Cancer, inspired by Killian Owen's battle with leukemia, has been chosen by AFLAC to be the official beneficiary of the 2007 AFLAC All-American selection tour. A donation of $15,000 was made to Coaches Curing Kids' Cancer to honor the high school coaches of our 2006 AFLAC All-Americans. To find out more about Coaches Curing Kids' Cancer go to www.curingkidscancer.org or call 1-866-933-CURE.
